PROGRAMS
Warrior Connections, Inc., Founded by Clayton Andrews and Shana Andrews in 2024, addresses the unique needs of Sickle Cell Warriors. Leveraging their personal connection to the disease, the program offers no-cost, quality, mental health services to children and adults, starting at age 10, diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease or those who are full-time caregivers of individuals diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease. Services will be in-person or via telehealth sessions and accessible to residents of Georgia and South Carolina. Warrior Connections aims to bring awareness to potential mental health concerns caused by the trauma of living with the physical, mental, and social challenges of Sickle Cell Disease, and will do so by providing direct mental health services, educational resources, family support, and mentorship.

The Warrior to Warrior (W2W) program provides free quality mental health services to include consultations and assessments, individual, family, or group counseling sessions, and can be conducted in-person or via telehealth with licensed mental health clinicians that also has a diagnosis of Sickle Cell Disease.
Champions Mentoring
Champions Mentoring program provides quality one on one mentorship to males age 13+ diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease. This program provides guidance and balance for a healthy and productive lifestyle, access to educational events and resources, support with transitioning from pediatric medical care to adult medical care, and a focus on promoting healthy social skills. Mentors will be professional men diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease and committed to the mission of the Champions Mentoring program.
Warrior Crisis Response Team
The Warrior Crisis Response Team provides support to individuals with Sickle Cell Disease and who have been admitted to the hospital for long-term care. Each SCD Patient will be assigned a trained and certified advocate that will provide support, essentials in a care basket, resources, advocacy and assistance with communicating with hospital staff.
